Visitors from San Diego in 2015

It was great to meet this year's student group who were as energetic and intersting as previous year's groups.  SAOL's particualr thanks to Professor Melinda Hohman for keeping SAOL on their agenda and for also taking the time to lead the SAOL team in training in May - it is much appreciated.

Visitors from San Diego in 2013

A student group from San Diego, California came to Saol on Thursday 6th June and we spent a great morning together discussing Saol, social work, good practice when working with young people and women, addiction, recovery as well as marines, the book of Kells and Cúchulainn! The group of sixteen students came from various courses including social studies and social work, nutrition and business and were guided on their tour of Dublin addiction services by Prof Melinda (Mindy) Hohman - who said SAOL was the best project they visited in Dublin! Please note that they may not have been her exact words but reading between the lines, that's what she meant!!
